Monthly gathering of the Cyberinfrastructure Community-wide Mentorship Network which unites cyberinfrastructure professionals to enhance community support for research and academic institutions, maximizing cyberinfrastructure utilization for research advancement through peer mentoring engagements.

This short course (2.5 hours) provides an overview of Intel PVC GPUs, guidance on accessing these GPUs on the ACES computing cluster at Texas A&M High Performance Research Computing, and demonstrations of running AI/ML models with the GPUs using PyTorch and Tensorflow. 

Prerequisites: Current ACCESS ID; basic Linux/Unix skills; basic understanding of machine learning concepts, neural networks, and deep learning; familiarity with deep learning frameworks TensorFlow and/or PyTorch. 

Hosted by the OSG Facilitation team, this training will cover an introduction to the Pegasus Workflow Management System, which is a useful tool for researchers needing to execute a large number of jobs or complex workflows. 

Attendees will learn how to construct and manage workflows, capabilities like automatic data transfers, and higher level tooling to analyze the workflow performance.

This course introduces concepts of containers and covers common containerization tasks using the Charliecloud and Singularity container engines on the ACES cluster, a composable accelerator testbed at Texas A&M University.

HPC Monthly Workshop: Machine Learning and BIG DATA

October 15-16, 2024

The Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center is pleased to present a Machine Learning and Big Data workshop.

This workshop will focus on topics including big data analytics and machine learning with Spark, and deep  learning using Tensorflow.
